The re-shingling of the Church Spire

The PCC would like to thank everyone involved, no matter how large or small, for all their hard work and generosity for raising the huge sum needed to complete the re-shingling of the Church Spire – It looks wonderful!

On 8th August, the Church architect signed off the final work on the Church spire. This brings an end of 3 years planning and fundraising to enable the completion of the Spire re-shingling project. As you may have noticed above, there is a service of thanks planned for 23rd September to celebrate its completion – I hope you can come and join us.

If you have the chance to see the spire, I encourage you to do so as it currently looks a wonderful golden colour and will do for the next few months – before it gradually weathers to a more natural grey colour.
