Our worship

Our regular congregation stretches from vibrant newborn to vivacious octogenarian. Our worship, supported  by our choir, reflects the breadth of that age-range: a balance of continuity and change from, for example, Prayer Book Matins (bi-monthly) through Common Worship Communion to an experiential all-age act of worship.

If you have not been to church for a while, a warm welcome awaits you and we have easy to follow service sheets.

Everyone is welcome.  However to comply with present covid regulations it is essential to notify your wish to attend a service by 2pm on Saturday so a seating plan can be made to ensure social distancing is maintained.  Email office@wateringburychurch.org.uk

The pattern of services is:

First Sunday in the month –  Matins or Morning Praise (alternate months)

Second Sunday in the month – Common Worship Holy Communion

Third Sunday in the month – All Age Worship

Fourth Sunday in the month – Common Worship Holy Communion

When there is a Fifth Sunday in the month the benefice takes the opportunity to worship together and share fellowship.  The services rotate round all three churches, Mereworth, Wateringbury and West Peckham

For the time being Covid regulations mean that it is not feasible to hold an 8.30am Prayer Book Holy Communion Service on the 3rd Sunday in the month. There are Communion Services in our benefice sister churches on the 3rd  Sunday in Mereworth  at 9.30am (Prayer Book)  and West Peckham at 11.15 (Common Worship)
